This June, Warrington is coming together to honour and support carers during Carers Week 2025 with a week full of relaxing activities and helpful sessions designed to promote well-being and relaxation. In partnership with Warrington Carers Hub, a series of free events are being organised across the town to give carers the opportunity to unwind, learn new skills, and connect with others.

From Tuesday to Friday, carers can enjoy “Read to Relax” drop-in sessions at various local libraries. These sessions offer a calming environment to take a break and enjoy some peaceful reading. The schedule includes:

The following day, Friday, June 13th, also at Warrington Central Library, there will be a Virtual Reality Mindfulness session from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, offering a unique way to practice mindfulness using immersive technology.

Family History Session

For those interested in exploring their family roots, a Family History session is scheduled for Saturday, June 14th at Penketh Library from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Booking is required via the Carers Hub.

Active Relaxation at LiveWire Leisure Centres

In addition to library activities, LiveWire leisure centres are hosting sessions tailored for carers at various locations. These sessions, all bookable through the Carers Hub, include:

  • Birchwood Community Hub: Pilates on Tuesday, June 10th, 10:15 – 11:15 am
